Family Wisdom Quotes Part 2

You just can't gain too much wisdom. That why I have nothing but respect for the book of Proverbs. Frankly, I believe the words of the experienced one saved my life on a number of occasions. I also firmly believe I'm still alive because of an endless string of near misses. I ducked, I dodged and I leaped and hurdles over many an obstacle in my day. Maybe that's why they call me Mr. Magoo. At any rate, I'm very thankful to be alive. That said, here are a few words of poetic wisdom worth living by.

The future is the canvas of life's design. The present is the stylus guided by experience along the lines of better-laid plans.

Let's start making
a better plan!

November - Family Reunion Planning Month

What? 2017 is almost on its way out? How could that be? Where did the time go? Did I collect enough memories? My head is spinning from the sheer speed of time passing me by. O well. They say the older you get the faster time flies - but this?  Did I even put a dent in this year?

If there is one thing I've learned, it's this: History will be made with or without our contribution.  To change history for the better is perhaps one of the greatest achievements there is. Making legacy of life and granting the next generation a heritage worthy of pride and celebration.  The key to making those achievements stick is knowing how to celebrate them.  Think family history documentary, complete with family interviews, a walk down memory lane while visiting old stomping grounds, schools, and other history locals as well as genealogy research and DNA reports.

What better way to present and celebrate your family history than an annual family reunion gathering.

Your identity is in the strength and wisdom of your belief system. Reaching out to family as family reaches out to the community to improve relations, the quality of life and empower a community goes a long way to building strong family ties. November and December are the ideal months to focus on the contributions your family has made toward self-empowerment, the community, business and good spiritual health.

November is Annual Family Reunion Planning Month. That said, now is the time to start planning your next memorable family reunion. Wondering how to get started? Read about the Genealogy themed family reunion program in the ever popular family reunion planning guide Fimark's Family Reunion Planner guidebook.

Family Reunion Quotes To Live By - Part 1

Wondering how to empower the family? Here are some tried, tested and true words to live by.

My granddaughter licked her candy apple until it was oozing with spittle. She then pushed the dripping wet treat to my mouth. About to say "no thank you sweety" I suddenly realized that I would miss out on an ideal opportunity to show deep gratitude and appreciation for her creative expression of affection through giving. I immediately thanked her and took a lick and a bite of the apple. Then I hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. Needless to say, she shared her sticky treat right down to the last bite. Lesson learned!

Did you know that creative expressions of innocent filial affection teach your child the value of kindness, giving and gratitude? We teach our children how to be considerate and thoughtful by example. In turn, they develop a sense of responsibility based on appreciation and gratitude for what you give them including all your hard work. They grow up to be more supportive and are often there when you need them.

Spread the word. Have a family reunion. Teach the younger generation how to creatively express gratitude and appreciation and show others how to graciously accept.  It will go a long way toward building up the household and empowering the family.

Learn the simple steps of planning your reunion.
