August is back to school month. That means soon summer vacation will be coming to an end. Families with school-age children are expected to spend around $634.78 on such things as apparel, shoes, supplies and electronics in 2013, down from $688.62 during the season last year.Jill Soltau, Shopko president and chief merchandising officer says, "Parents who wait until right before school starts can face a very limited selection and even find that some items will be sold out."
